Law on planning and construction (2009.) introduced many new responsibilities to towns and municipalities, with very short deadlines for its implementation. System of planning and planning documents are partially changed; and there are a number of laws that have not passed yet, so there is a lot of unclearity in that field. The importance of processes related to planning and building for local governments is reflected in the fact that is directly related to the competitiveness of the municipality and the provision of quality of services - the number and quality of urban plans is directly dependent on length of procedures for issuing building permits, which is one of the criteria for municipality ranking in terms of their competitiveness for investment.

 

Topics that are to be covered: the spatial plan of local governments with special emphasis on measures for plan implementation, general plan of regulations with emphasis on the coverage plan, as well as issuing permits - for location, construction and legalization of buildings.

 

The training is intended for employees on positions of spatial planning and development, employees of the LED Offices and other employees in the LSG.
